Hi. I’m Andreas, a Toronto area documentary wedding photographer.

I photograph weddings for couples planning intimate, private weddings where the priority is enjoying the experience with those closest to them.

My photography is intentionally candid, a little unconventional, almost always in black and white, with a focus on capturing genuine human moments rather than manufacturing them.

During a recent conversation with my youngest daughter, she told me that if she gets married, she would only choose a photographer if she could meet them in person, or at the very least talk to them on the phone.

I told her I agree with her — choosing who will photograph your wedding is basically like inviting a stranger into your inner circle, so you should choose someone based not only on the quality and style of their work, but also on whether or not you get along with them.

What I do as a wedding photographer is a deeply personal process for me.

I get to know my clients well, so that on the wedding day, I’m essentially there as “a guest”.

This makes working together for relaxed, and the photographs show that connection and comfort level.

My approach isn’t suited for every style of wedding. Most of the events I shoot are usually held at one venue or location, and often with no more than 150 guests.

I always work alone, and I make it a point to attend the rehearsal with my camera as well.

Every wedding I photograph is completely unique from the last. As a result, your wedding photos won’t look like anyone else’s photographs.

Lastly, I’d like to talk about your privacy.

I’ll say it as clearly as I can — I do this work in service of you and your family. These are your photographs, and you can keep them offline, or show them to the world if you wish.

I’ve done this for a long time. For about as long as I’ve been married — just over 21 years. I’ve photographed several hundred weddings, for couples representing a wide range of cultures and traditions.

I live outside of Toronto with my wife and our two daughters, and most of the weddings I photograph are within Southern Ontario.

Before you inquire about having me photograph your wedding, here are some questions I’m almost always asked.

“How much does it cost to hire you?”

Hiring a professional isn’t cheap, but I also know I’m not the most expensive photographer available.

My Creative fee varies from one wedding to another based on the location, duration, deliverables and time of year. Most weddings start at around 5k.

“What do we get if we hire you?”

First and foremost, my full attention. I work with a fairly small number of couples each year and make myself accessible at all times. I personally handle every single aspect of your photography commission, from inquiry to photographing the wedding, to the delivery of the finished images which I hand edit myself.

Most couples get about 375-450 images from their wedding day as high resolution, print ready images, and depending on the package, either a set of prints, or an album.

“How many weddings do you shoot?”

I try to keep this number low so that I can put my full attention to the work. That sweet spot is about ten weddings each wedding season.

I have a few dates open in the Fall of 2026, and I’m reviewing inquiries now for Spring and Summer 2027.
